Even before the 1860 introduction of revenue stamps in the Philippines, official documents had to be written on official paper. This paper had either embossments or revenue stamps printed on them. Different applications required different papers. In later years, additional stamps had to be added in addition to the already printed stamps on the paper. Douglas K. Because the Warren Catalog is in black and white, it is quite difficult to identify the stamps. The Nigel Gooding collection which is posted on his website Spanish-Philippines Philatelic Site has all the stamps identified by the Warren catalog number. This makes it easier to identify any stamp with the correct Warren catalog number. His nearly complete collection can be viewed by clicking HERE.

The Warren Philippines Revenue Stamp catalog was originally published in sections in the American Philatelist, starting in 1967. The complete compiled catalog is published in the International Philippine Philatelic Society, IPPS. The catalog can be viewed by clicking HERE.

A happy and healthy 2026 to all the readers of my Blog. My newly acquired stamps during the past two months. December was a very good month for my Tobacco and Alcoholic stamp collection.
